The publication Der religionspädagogische Habitus islamischer Religionslehrer*innen by Dr. Şenol Yağdı is available from Springer since 26 April 2025.
["The subject of this book is the reconstruction of the religious education habitus of Islamic religious education teachers in Austria, in particular their professional self-image as well as fundamental thought and action structures in the context of (inter-)religious teaching and learning processes. As part of a qualitative study, 41 Islamic religious education teachers from various Austrian federal states were interviewed in eight group discussions about their experiences, beliefs and concerns. The material collected was analysed using the documentary method according to Bohnsack and interpreted with regard to the collective habitus of the group surveyed. The results are summarised in six comparative dimensions: Challenges of religious education in the social context, subject orientation as a religious education claim, role models of Islamic religious education teachers, institutional and structural framework conditions for successful teaching, interreligious teaching and learning processes as well as discourses of recognition and othering structures. These dimensions are critically analysed as central components of a collective religious education orientation framework."]
