This symposium was jointly organised by the Department of Islamic-Theological Studies at the University of Vienna and the Department of Theology at the University of Nicosia, bringing together colleagues from various countries. The success of this symposium is attributed to the valuable contributions, time, and ideas generously provided by many colleagues and friends. In particular, we would like to extend our appreciation to the individuals from Cyprus who played a pivotal role in this event.
