Exactly 31 years ago, Alevi poets, intellectuals and artists gathered in Pir Sultan Abdal's hometown for a cultural festival.The Madımak conference hotel was attacked and set on fire by an angry conservative mob. 33 of the festival participants, including many children and young people, were burnt alive.
Today we remember the victims and pray for their families!
