The conference will explore which approaches can be derived from Islamic theological research for the development of religious education theory and which concepts and models are indispensable for the teaching of contemporary religious education.

It aims to provide a framework in which the theoretical and practical relationship between theology and religious education can be discussed. Their contributions and further papers will be published in a conference volume.
