The focus of the lecture series lies on the examination of the question of truth. Interreligious hermeneutics is a central but still largely unexplored field of research. In view of the increasing religious diversity and the associated interreligious encounters, new theoretical approaches and methodological innovations are required. Although interreligious dialogue is successfully practised in many contexts, there has been a lack of a comprehensive hermeneutical foundation for these dialogues to date. This deficit marks a significant gap in the academic study of religion.
The lectures take place on Tuesdays at 6pm. All information and login details can be found on the lecture series website (in German).
The series will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Christian Danz and Dr. Şenol Yağdı.
