Expert symposium on the prevention of parallel societies and the resulting violence through radicalisation and polarisation

01.07.2021

The integration of immigrants is one of the biggest challenges for urban areas like the city of Graz.

On the one hand, we need a restrictive immigration policy and clear regulations so that our society remains capable of integration. On the other hand, we need to and want to give those who stay with us permanently opportunities for education, work and social advancement in order to enable the best possible participation in our society. Successful integration is a two-way process and thrives on active cooperation. The isolation of individual groups stands in the way of this togetherness.
