We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the symposium titled "Commercialisation of Religions in the Globalizing World," which took place in Nicosia from September 15th to 17th. This symposium was jointly organized by the Institute of Islamic Theological Studies at the University of Vienna and the Department of Theology at the University of Nicosia, bringing together colleagues from various countries. The success of this symposium is attributed to the valuable contributions, time, and ideas generously provided by many colleagues and friends. In particular, we would like to extend our appreciation to individuals from Cyprus who played a pivotal role in this event.
We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Vice Rector of the University of Nicosia, Professor Dr. Panayiotis Angelides, as well as Minister of Justice and Public Order, Anna Koukkides-Procopiou. Furthermore, our sincere thanks go out to Professor Dr. Christos Economou, Dr. Areti Demosthenous, and all the dedicated colleagues who made this symposium a reality through their invaluable contributions.
